Ponferrada Cycling capital of the world

For eight days, from September 21 to September 28, Ponferrada will be the cycling capital of the world. The best riders in all categories, the best national and international teams will be battling for medals and the prized rainbow jerseys. Spain will host the world championships for the seventh time since they were first held in Lasarte (1965), and subsequently in Montjuïc (1973), Barcelona (1984), Benidorm (1992), San Sebastian (1997) and Madrid (2005).
